The day of the treatment : Post microblading, gently blot the area with clean tissue to absorb excess lymph fluid every 15 minutes for the first 2 hours or until oozing has stopped. Keep the microbladed area dry for 24 hours – If you need to wash your face, use a wet towel around the face without touching the eyebrow. Apply a very thin layer of Bacitracin over the microbladed brows before bed.
Days 1-7: Wash
After 24 hours of dry heal, wash eyebrows 2 times a day (morning & evening) with antibacterial soap (Dial Soap, Cetaphil or Neutrogena). Gently rub the lathered soap to the microbladed area with finger tips in a smooth motion for 10 seconds and splash water ensuring all soap is rinsed away. Pat dry or air dry. Avoid cleansers with acids-glycolic, lactic, AHA, or exfoliant astringents. Avoid wetting the eyebrows more than 2 times a day which means one of the wash can go with the shower.
Days 1-7 Moisturize
Apply a rice grain amount of A&D Ointment on washed and dry eyebrows twice daily. NEVER put the ointment on a wet or damp skin. Do not over-apply as this will suffocate your skin and delay healing. The ointment should be barely noticeable on the skin.
Important Reminders :
- Use a fresh pillowcase and avoid sleeping on your face for the first 10 days.
- Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate away. Picking can cause scarring or loss of color.
- No facials, botox, chemical treatments or microdermabrasion for 4 weeks.
- Avoid hot, sweaty exercise for one week and long hot showers for the first 10 days.
- Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning for 4 weeks after the procedure. Wear a hat when outdoors.
- Avoid swimming, lakes, hot tubs for the first 10 days.
- Limit showers to 10 mins to avoid too much steam. Your face should only be getting wet at the end of the shower. Avoid treated areas to hot water or full water pressure of a shower.
- Avoid topical brow makeup & sunscreen on the area until healed (4-5 weeks). Buy new mascara/makeup to avoid contamination or bacterial infection.
- You will not be allowed to donate blood for 1 calendar year post procedure, per the guidelines of the American Red Cross.
What’s Normal?

You will have to schedule your free touch up appointment in 4-6 weeks. Changes in color or shape has to be addressed or corrected no sooner than your touch up appointment.
